TALKING DOG AGENCY
From September 2019 - April 2020, I was a member of UGA's student-run agency, Talking Dog. This agency consisted of over 80+ members with 13 different teams, all of which are assigned different clients to work with for the entire school year. You can check out a brief overview of my team's success on the official TD website here. To see our entire case study for the 2019-2020 school year, you can check out our book digitally as well!
My role was the Digital Specialist for our client, a non-profit located in Athens, GA called The Backpack Project, Inc. (TBP). This client closely helps support the Athens community due to the high rate of poverty in the area, by helping ease the burden of homelessness. TBP gives backpacks full of daily essentials to those in need. Some notable goals we reached included: 56% increase in followers and 35% increase in engagement for Instagram, 174% increase in personal donations, 19% increase in unique visitors and organic search traffic for the client's website, and a 16% increase in total engagement for Facebook. The paid ad campaigns we ran on Facebook and Instagram resulted in a low $0.04 click-per-cost (cpc) and ~1,710 estimated ad recalls.
As a Digital Specialist, my roles varied:
-
Created monthly social content calendars for the client (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
-
Evaluated social media analytics (Google analytics, running Facebook and Instagram ads)
-
Completely redesigned the client's website to a more modern and simple aesthetic
-
Improved website SEO
-
Occasionally created social media graphics and asissted with copy edits for captions
